After our 25th anniversary late last year and 22 (!) fan conventions, meetings and fanclub events since 1993, we will host our 23rd fanclub convention on 7th October 2017 in Eichenzell-Welkers near Fulda, Germany. We take a look back in our history and the history of Genesis, but there will also be live music. Theme of the convention: From Invisible Touch to it. The fanclub's first name was "Invisible Touch" and later became "it". Special guests are The Carpet Crawlers from the UK, which fits in perfectly - they will perform the complete Invisible Touch Tour show.
The municipal hall in Eichenzell-Welkers: For the 16th time we invite you to this location. But it's not the time-honoured municipal hall these days, since it was completely rebuilt in 2014 and 2015 and presents itself in a very modern shape these days. Nevertheless, we want to keep the spirit of our former fanclub events, also in this "new" location.
The municipal hall in Eichenzell-Welkers was not the first location for our fanclub conventions, since conventions between 1993 and 1995 took place elsewhere. It wasn't until 1996 when the municipal hall (or "Buergerhaus" in German) became our standard venue for fan conventions. Despite that, some of our conventions took place in other cities over the years for different reasons.
In any case: the Bürgerhaus will be the location for fanclub convention #23!

British band The Carpet Crawlers will perform a complete Invisible Touch Tour-Show. They will also add some extras and surprises. The show will stick to the orignal concept regarding light show, drum sets, settings etc. Mike Kidson helped to realize this project. Mike was a Genesis roadie for many years and eventually became one of the road managers on the Invisible Touch Tour. Mike Kidson will also be available for a Question and Answer session during the event (stage interview). In addition, the band's lighting technician will present the system and is also available for questions. This will be the "Behind The Scenes" section of our convention.
The exhibition will be about 25 years of our fanclub, but also the history of the band. You can expect rare items to be displayed.
You will have the chance to buy drinks and food at our event during the whol day at reasonable prices.
How to get there: Please refer to Google or any other system when you come by car. Closest airports are in Frankfurt, the closest railway station is in Fulda and from there you can easily get to Eichenzell with a regional train. The station in Eichenzell is just 3 minutes away from the venue. Accomodation can be found next door to the venue at Landgasthof Buch or in the areas surrounding Eichenzell and of course in Fulda itself.
Ticket sale starts 24th April 2017 at WiV Entertainment. Please be aware that unlike previous years we will NOT have a second convention date in our schedule!
