Why harsh ? Both of your reviews are very accurate.
I felt it the same way, longer songs are better appreciated when you can listen to them confortably, i was staying as well one of the two times i saw this show in EU.
Curiously, when i saw Genesis back in 76/77 (both tours) we were much younger and more sporty, but we could at least sit - or better - lay down to appreciate the show.
Why did this way of listening dissapear in the 00's?
There where enough place, even more than in the 70's to lay down, but why all people stood politely durring the whole gig?

I do have to voice some concern over the sound system, either it was the mixing, or my bad ears, but I had some trouble hearing Phil on some higher notes, Tony on some solo's as well as Mike and Daryl's ....It could be me - but it sounded a bit muddled to me at times.

Same to me, both time in Bern (Switzerland) - i stood in front of the PA in the middle of the stadium - and in Bruxelles (Belgium) slightly on the left of the stage, it was quite loud enough, but less clear than.....on the Trick or Wind tours. Curious, curious with the new technology supposed to sound better than.....in the 70's.
