well, to be fair to Gabriel, I would call his first 4 albums progressive for sure. The first one not as much, but with Fripp and Eno and Larry Fast and Tony Levin involved on the next three, I would say those were all progressive music albums. And the last 2 (Up and Us) have their moments.
You go back and listen to things like Intruder, and it still jars the senses and sounds pretty darn "off the beaten path" even now.
