On a later tour ( I'm getting them mixed up now) at the Rosemont Horizon, when they "slipped" Apocalypse in 9/8 inot the medley, I remember a woman behind me saying that "they're not supposed to play this!" and I have always wanted to ask her why not? Because Peter Gabriel isn't on stage? I still get peaved about this overheard comment. I guess I have to give her some credit for knowing what they were playing.

you got to see the Cage medley with Apocalypse in 9/8 as the ending on the IT tour before they reverted back to the Afterglow ending. Again I am envious because by the time I saw that tour in early 87 they were doing Afterglow. The woman probably knew from Three Sides Live (or previous concerts) that they usually did Cage/Cinema Show/Afterglow. In 86 they did Cage/Quiet Earth/Apocalypse and later changed it to Cage/Quiet Earth/Afterglow.
the medley with the Suppers Ready ending is preserved on the King Biscuit show they recorded from LA on that tour and sounds awesome
