Whats Your Favorite Genesis Song?
Mine is, as most of you know, "Suppers Ready". Not because it is a 42/43 minute song. Its because of the superb lyrics and fantastic musical sound that the guys have put together to make this song exciting, yet dimmer at times. It is always a welcomed song to hear in my book!

My one favourite song? That answer has to begin with "currently". Therefore:
Currently, it is Counting Out Time (because of the glorious treatment Nick D'Virgilio gives it on Rewiring Genesis - if ever you thought Genesis music was serious you have to listen to this song/album!)

I agree with Martin; with a catalogue like what Genesis has, it depends on the moment. But, if I was going to pick ONE song -- it might be "Blood On The Rooftops". It's such a powerful song ... great acoustic guitar by Hackett, and some of the best mellotron chords I think I've ever heard by Banks. It's mesmerizing. And great vocals by Phil.
Ask me tomorrow, and it'll probably be different. |

Alright people, I know that we all love all of their songs, but, we all have a favorite. I know you do. I do know this, when I feel bad, depressed, happy, drunk, or just plain normal. I put on my Genesis, and somehow I feel much better.
