I agree with the OLD SCHOOL comment - the 70's was the time to be a Genesis fan. I just know I'll be in heaven when I see them again, even without Peter, and will be happy no matter what they sing.
Afterglow....sigh!

other songs

Mad Man Moon
Keep It Dark

In the Cage is great but pretty tired at this point. A few surprises won't hurt anybody, and would likely please many (has Mad Man Moon EVER been played?). Nothing after 1981 will be necessary...

Wishlist: Play Something Rare and Unexpected

Why does the list leave out Foxtrot and Nursery Cryme? I'm sure most would serious fans would agree these are among the two best Genesis albums. I saw every Genesis tour from the "Lamb" at the Shrine to "Duke" at the Roxy. They always played somthing unexpected like "White Mountain" or "The Fountain of Salmacis". The crowed lost their collective minds every time.

For my 5 votes: I would love Genesis to play something rare, wonderful, and unexepected like:

1. "Can-Utility and the Coastliners"
2. "Watcher of the Skies"
3. "The Musical Box"-The WHOLE SONG-not part of a medley!
4. "Get 'em Out by Friday"
5. "The Fountain of Salmacis"

Why stop at 5?
"ALL of Suppers Ready" (Played often, but I wouldnt' complain)
"The Knife"
"Return of the Giant Hogweed"
"Seven Stones"
"Dancing with the Moonlit Knight"
"Visions of Angels"

Any of these songs would be a welcome alternative to top 40 songs like Invisible Touch or Hold on My Heart.

Gee, should we tell him? I almost feel bad about bursting the bubble.....

You don't see those songs listed because when they made the tour announcement they pretty much said they won't be playing anything pre-1973. So we can all wish for those early gems, but I wouldn't hold my breath. This is the 3 man band reunion, not the full (hopefully in the future) reunion.

Unfortunately, I already knew the obvious. The Genesis-music site listed the "spoiler" rehersal set list. However, the guys may spring a surprise on us. I was only expressing wishful thinking for all of us. BTW, if you haven't already heard, Wolfgang's Vault has 3 unbelievable Genesis concerts free for the listening including the fabled Shrine Lamb show (yea, I was there.) Log here and enjoy: http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/C...=20050270|2575

Yea, I saw they were streaming these. Is there a way to download yet? I want to burn to disc. Anyone know how to record off a stream?

WV claims there will be downloads available very soon. Of course, there are ways of getting recordings from streaming audio, but you don't have the ASCAP police on you do you?
