Lightbulb The Musical Box: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway 2011/2012

Yes, it's true

The Musical Box will return on stage with probably the most famous early Genesis show - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. There are no tour dates yet, but a European Tour can be expected in winter 2011/2012.

More info will follow once we have it.

It is always worthwhile seeing The Musical Box when they play a Gabriel-era show. But the Lamb shows are TMB at their theatrical best. These are absolutely intense shows. I was very lucky to be able to the three Lamb shows on three nights in a row back in 2005, and that really changed the way I experience the music.

See the Lamb show to understand what the people who were there in 1974/75 are raving about. Yes, it really is that spectacular!

Here is a report from a Lamb show TMB played in their hometown, as it were, of Montreal: http://www.genesis-news.com/c-The-Musical-Box-The-Lamb-Lies-Down-On-Broadway-Live-in-Montreal-2000-s222.html

And here is an insightful article on The Lamb in Italy: http://www.genesis-news.com/c-The-Musical-Box-The-Lamb-Live-in-Milan-and-Torino-2005-s116.html

I'll see if I can dig up some reports from the Lamb shows The Musical Box played in Germany. When I find them I will post them here.

I first saw TMB when they did the TLLDOB tour in 04 and 05, and now they are bringing it back. I cannot wait!

I saw TMB for the first time a few years ago for the Trick tour. Cannot wait to see The Lamb. My daughter is very exicted as well since the Lamb is her favorite Genesis album - and her first TMB show!

Talking Houston Date

Hi, it's been a while I have not posted in the forum; I bought my tickets for the October Musical Box Lamb show here in Houston Texas at the House of Blues. This venue is not very user friendly and the acoustics are rather poor, my tix are on the balcony at center so I should be fine and be able to view all three screens projecting the famous Lamb slideshow.

I presume what will be different this time (saw them in 2004) are the lineup changes, drummer is another guy right? But most of all, TMB keep very high standards as is their tradition in the Tribute band realm. This venue has been slightly more lenient on video recording so that is also a plus but it depends on the artists, Porcupine Tree did not allow cameras as Yes did.

BTW! Just went last Thursday evening to the PETER GABRIEL New Blood Symphony Concert, absolutely brilliant! I'll upload a couple of vids (search for bowiechapin on YouTube). Cheers!
