TMB to perform at Nursery Cryme Event, hostet by it - Genesis News Com Forum

We are pleased to announce that the German Genesis Fanclub it / Genesis News Com will host a special Nursery Cryme Event

The Event will take place 31st October 2007 in Duisburg, Germany - Theater am Marientor.

It will mainly constist of a live performance by The Musical Box, who will perform tracks from the Nursery Cryme Tour, kind of a "best of the Nursery Cryme tour" - show.
The setlist has not bee finalized, but all regulars like Twilight Alehouse, Stagnation or Seven Stones will be performed.

This is the ONLY chance to see a Nursery Cryme performance by The Musical Box in Europe. Even in North America they haven't done it for 12 years!

Tickets are 28€, 32€ and 36€ in three different categories.

members of this forum will get the chance to buy tickets during our pre-sale period (there's no extra charge for that), public announcement and ticket sale starts August 11th.

All details regarding the pre-sale will be provided soon via email-newsletter!

We really hope to see some of you in Duisburg

Sonuvagun, you lucky dogs, you. I would love to see Twilight Alehouse, Stagnation performed. Man Christian, you must have some kind of connections over there. Or loads of cash. I'm jealous.

@ Squonkman: We have experience in organising these kind of events, but we do not have loads of cash, otherwise tickets would cost 5€

anyway - ticket sales started 25 minutes ago, people from Holland, Italy and the USA hava already ordered tickets. Looks like it's going to be an international happening...

Great! It's good to see that the events go international! I was a bit disappointed when the Braunschweig meeting only had a couple of token foreigners in attendance. Looking forwards to meeting y'all there!

Then on my wishlist would also be Harlequin, Harold The barrel, For Absent Friends, along with the other NC staples. Fantastic, wonder if Gabriel will attend/sit in. Can't wait for the release.

One last thing: some days ago, a few people which are a shame for anybody made a slaughter in Duisburg for a mafia faida. We Italians condemn this criminal action and come in peace to Duisburg to see the show and enjoy TMB as usual.

sorry, I was away for a couple of days (I was moving to Dresden) so couldn't check this earlier. Most of your questions should have been answeredin our annuncement in the main site.

Now that the event has passed, we just want to thank the approx 120 people, who came from outside Germany to see this special show.

The band was in an excellent mood, they could be more themselves rather than copying Genesis. The audience was brilliant and well and the setlist was as follows:

Watcher of the skies
Stagnation
Fountain of Salmacis
Happy the man
Twilight Alehouse
Can-Utility and the coast-liners
Seven Stones
Get'em out by Friday
The Musical Box
The Return of the Giant Hogweed

Encore 1
The Knife

Encore 2 (spontaneously, not planned!)
Supper's Ready

The show lasted approx 2hrs 15min

We had some rare itmes to be won in a competition and the band made themselves available for a signing hour after the show.

All in all - thanks to TMB for making this possible, thanks to WiV Entertainment for helping out wit all the logistics and ticketing and thanks to everyone who came (roughly 1,000 people were there), it was fantastic and we really enjoyed it!

Geez I would have loved to see that. Any chance you guys can organize the same thing over here stateside? What a setlist. Can Utility, Stagnation, Salmacis, Twlight Alehouse, Hogweed, GEOBF.....wow.

Just want to chime in and say it really was a terrific evening. Standing ovations after every song from about Twilight Alehouse onwards, and justly so. They were so good, and Denis sang as if this had been the last show of their tour and deuce may care if his voice was wrecked for the next day!
And can you image my feeling when, after a set of fantastic songs AND a frighteningly powerful encore of The Knife the roadie suddenly wheels in the tubular bells and you realize that this can only mean one song?
