I will have money by then, hmmmmmm.....

I think it's time for a "ROAD TRIP !!! ".

What will I do, pay scalpers, or does anybody here have ONE extra ticket for the 2nd or if I'm desperate , the 3rd?

I have a date with Kellie on the 4th to see Gordon England , who is the 29th Deputy Secretary of Defense. He previously served as the 72nd and 73rd Secretary of the Navy .

For a couple of C-Span junkies, we will have a blast just getting together, knowing that we will also be going out for some excellent motorcycle rides together.

PS: This is my 400th post ! WooHoo!

Seriously, I'm going to Chi-Town to see them again if it kills me!

All the King's horses and all the King's men
Could never put a smile on that face.

[I'm smiling now, dear]

Scared to be left all on his own.
Hasn't a, hasn't a friend to play with ,the Ugly Duckling
The pressure on, the bubble will burst before our eyes.

[Something about Ugly Ducklings in fairy tales becoming swans...?]

All the while in perfect time
His tears are falling on the ground
BUT IF YOU DON'T STAND UP YOU DON'T STAND A CHANCE.

[Dad, what if she says "No"? Son, what if she says "Yes"?]

His heart was broken long before he ever came to you.

[Feeling much better now, thank you. Pleased to meet you.]

Come to match my skill to yours.
Now listen here, listen to me, don't you run away now
I am a friend, I'd really like to play with you.

[A little intellectual discourse? Finally! I live for this.]

October 4th ... Better get my suit to the cleaners.

Going to the Thursday show.

Any one know what time the boys have been coming on stage?

Can't wait. Last time I saw them was in the early 80's at Poplar Creek Music Theater.

I am also going to Thursday's show. It'll be my first time seeing them since their five night stand at the Rosemont Horizon in 1986. I went to two of the five shows. This time I am taking my little brother Ian with me. It will be his first Genesis concert ever. He is 25 years old, and was born with Downs Syndrome (for those that don't know what that is, he is mentally handicapped). He has been a huge fan since he was 5 years old, and he has been really pumped about going since I got the tickets. I wish I could find a way to get him back stage to meet the band, it would be the biggest thrill of his life. I doubt that will happen, but I'm going to talk to anyone I can to try.

Hope Ian enjoys it. I have been a supporter of Misericordia for years.

Jim DeRogatis, The critic for the Sun-Times, is a well known twit in Chicago. His musical taste is Smashing Pumpkins, and anything that sounds like them. He loves to bash any band that had their hayday before 1995. So please disregard his opinion. He wouldn't know good music if it bit him on the postierior.

Thanks for posting these reviews / links.

It's always the same with critics, but I must say the reception was better than I expected it to be, at least here in Germany. One of the best and biggest german newspapers just avoided any controversion by printing two reviews - a good and a bad one....

God i really wish i had some connections.

one of my good friends sister has downs syndrome and is an ENORMOUS colorado rockies fan.
yeah, we're in the playoffs.....finally.....but she watched EVERY game all those years when we finished last....every year.
anyway, we (at the dealership i work at) have a few connections within the rockies organization and last season we got her to a game, a dugout pass, and a trip back to the clubhouse to meet clint hurdle (the manager who happens to have a handicapped daughter) and the boys.
it was a surreal experience for her and her brother who accompanied her to the game, and it felt great for us here at the dealership to be able to help her live a dream.

unfortunately, i cant think of anyone that could help us here now.
i have one good friend in the media that can usually get a backstage press pass, but he's all the way out in california, so i doubt there is anything he can do on such short notice.
