Columbus, OH Encore CD

Received mine yesterday. Columbus 09/22/07. Playing it, as I type this post. EXCELLENT!!!!!! 3rd time I've seen them.. Philly '87 and Pittsburgh '92..
I've been listening to Genesis for about 28 years.. Wish I could have seen more concerts. Simply put,,, It doesn't get any better than this band!!! It's been a month since the wife and I seen the concert, and we still talk about it!!

I have a few Europe Encore shows where the sound is a bit, well "echoey", even though the quality is very good. Since most of these shows have been recorded indoors, I was wondering if someone could post an mp3 of a song from one of the shows, just to hear what it's like in comparison.

Would anyone be willing to do that, if it can even be done on here?

I was at the Columbus show (see that thread for my review and my pictures). Where were you sitting? Did you hang out at that great bar across from the entrance before or after? Great atmosphere at that show.

Squonkman,
Yes, I've checked out your thread with the Columbus photos.. GREAT!!! I actually have the drum duet one, as my wallpaper, on my computer at work. I agree, the atmosphere at ther concert was great. Our seats were SEC 112 row N ,lower bowl. I thought the seats were good. This was the first time we seen them in an areana. I liked the areana show, a bit more personal feeling than the big stadiums.
We thought about going to the bar beside the areana, but it was very crowded before the show. We didn't know how long it would take to get drinks, and didn't want to be late getting to our seats. Seems like a really cool bar! Again,, Great thread!!! Thanks...

hey, that's pretty cool. I ordered the Columbus Encore CD but it hasn't arrived yet. How does it sound? Is it crisp or 'echoey' like some of the European encore cds?

I am assuming that the Euro ones sound so echoey, because of how big the venues were!

I cannot confirm that for the Hannover and Munich Encores, but those were open air shows. The Encores of closed-roof shows may be echoey. I expect Düsseldorf I+II will be like that, for example. So if you want non-echoey European shows check out the blogs... If someone complained about getting wet from the rain in the stadium and mentions Phil's "bloody rain" comment that show should be free from echoes

I have them repeating over and over. Great sounds. It sounds much better than the encore CD's sounded years ago with the first The Who one and PG's!
