What I Did On My Summer Vacation
Thought it would be cool now that summer is drawing to a close to put up some pictures of what we all did this summer. I'll start it off. I know Marty has some as well from his adventures. If you don't want to post directly a link to photobucket or other photo sharing sites would suffice.....So without further adieu:

My summer vacation was quite an unplanned one. In early August a friend called and said "Hey, you wanna come on a bike tour from Dresden to Prague? We'll be leaving on the 15th and come back the following weekend." So I told my boss I wanted to take time off for the overtime I put in and he said okay and I told my friend okay.
We planned to take the 3pm train on Friday. We didn't because one of our fellow travellers had not got round to preparing his bikes yet for the tour - or even repairing them. We missed the first train to Dresden, we missed the second connection... In the end we were quite angry at him - and then we took the train to Prague and went the other way. I am too lazy to put all those pictures up here, so you can see a selection of them here: (And if you would like to see more and I know you, I may give you the link to the full set...)

I woke up. I went downtown to look for a job. I hung out at the drug store. "Ha Ha" Just a little quote from Cheech and Chong for those who remember. Lets see, what did I do? Its been a quiet summer for me. I did do some sailing. That was a blast. And I did a lot of swimming in my friends pool, and had lots of pool parties. We had a hurricane party last week due to hurricane Hanna. Possibly more hurricanes to come. Hopefully not. But for me here in North Carolina, summer is not quite over yet. We are still swimming and going to the beach. Every Sunday (or Saturday if scheduled), we have a Nascar race party at someones house. We alternate. So, thats about it for my summer vacation. Not very exciting. But very relaxing.

Thought I'd add the Oktoberfest experience here....
Yesterday was only the rehearsal... Sorry I didn't drink two or thee beers for each of you. If I had I probably wouldn't be here because Wiesn beer is a bit stronger than regular beer (5.9 vol%) and as we all know, beer on the Wiesn comes in litre glasses only. They may be a bit "underfull" - a couple of years ago a crafty gentleman managed to pull 289 mass (in theory, litres) from a 200 litre keg. Anyway, tomorrow morning I'll go there. Watch this space for pictures - it's the "Italian weekend" so I'm hoping for lots of belle ragazze, too ![]()

"Italian Weekend" eh...sounds like it's going to be 'magnifico'...make sure you try their 'Nastro Azzurro' it is an international beer produced by the Peroni Brewery of Rome! Jebs and i even obtained the drinking glasses that accompany this beer. Don't ask me how...I didn't see anything, I didn't do anything...honestly officer, it wasn't me... it was him .Hope you get to find your belle ragazze too...but don't be drinking too much as i'm sure your aware that suddenly everybody becomes amazingly attractive when you have beer goggles on!!... Ciao ![]()

Well, as I may have mentioned elsewhere she has been found... only she hasn't found me yet. But, as Trillian would say, "That's life."
(Life. Don't talk to me about life.)
