wow, someone's a big Marillion fan. Always found their stuff to be a little too, fantasy like, not grounded in reality. I like much more real, more gutteral things myself. But then again, I am a more off the streets kind of guy......

Sundown--Gordon Lightfoot

I can see her lyin back in her satin dress
In a room where ya do what ya dont confess
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you been creepin round my back stairs
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you been creepin round my back stairs
Shes been lookin like a queen in a sailors dream
And she dont always say what she really means
Sometimes I think its a shame
When I get feelin better when Im feelin no pain
Sometimes I think its a shame
When I get feelin better when Im feelin no pain

I can picture every move that a man could make
Getting lost in her lovin is your first mistake
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you been creepin round my back stairs
Sometimes I think its a sin
When I feel like Im winnin when Im losin again

I can see her lookin fast in her faded jeans
Shes a hard lovin woman, got me feelin mean
Sometimes I think its a shame
When I get feelin better when Im feelin no pain
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you been creepin round my back stairs
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you been creepin round my back stairs
Sometimes I think its a sin
When I feel like Im winnin when Im losin again

Honesty--Billy Joel

If you search for tenderness
It isn't hard to find
You can have the love you need to live
But if you look for truthfulness
You might just as well be blind
It always seems to be so hard to give

Honesty is such a lonely word
Everyone is so untrue
Honesty is hardly ever heard
And mostly what I need from you

I can always find someone
To say they sympathize
If I wear my heart out on my sleeve
But I don't want some pretty face
To tell me pretty lies
All I want is someone to believe

Honesty is such a lonely word
Everyone is so untrue
Honesty is hardly ever heard
And mostly what I need from you

I can find a lover
I can find a friend
I can have security
Until the bitter end
Anyone can comfort me
With promises again
I know, I know

When I'm deep inside of me
Don't be too concerned
I won't ask for nothin' while I'm gone
But when I want sincerity
Tell me where else can I turn
Because you're the only one that I depend on (NOT)

Honesty is such a lonely word
Everyone is so untrue
Honesty is hardly ever heard
And mostly what I need from you

The capacity we humans have to lie and decieve each other never ceases to amaze me. You want to believe in the best of someone, and how often they disappoint.
Sad. So sad.

With your narrow minded cronies
Who are fools of the first division
Death on two legs
You're tearing me apart
Death on two legs
You've never had a heart of your own
Kill joy bad guy big talking small fry
You're just an old barrow boy
Have you found a new toy to replace me?
Can you face me?
But now you can kiss my ass goodbye
Feel good are you satisfied?
Do you feel like suicide?
(I think you should)
Is your conscience all right
Does it plague you at night?
Do you feel good feel good?

You talk like a big business tycoon
You're just a hot air balloon
So no one gives you a damn
You're just an overgrown schoolboy
Let me tan your hide
A dog with disease
You're the king of the 'sleaze'
Put your money where your mouth is
Mister know-all
Was the fin on your back
Part of the deal? (Shark)
Death on two legs
You're tearing me apart
Death on two legs
You've never had a heart (you never did) of your own
(Right from the start)
Insane you should be put inside
You're a sewer rat decaying in a cesspool of pride
Should be made unemployed
Then make yourself null and void
Make me feel good I feel good

LMAO. Ahh, how appropo.

So Called Friend--Porcupine Tree

Lip read, a mountain stream, fibres in the car
Shut down, a cheerless a town, a head rolls in the park

Once seen my libertine undresses in the dark
She puts her love inside to break us both apart

With you I felt brand new, you opened up the sky
What need to punish me with surgery and lies?

Sleep well my so called friend, a virus in your heart
She bends my so called friend and rips my life apart

In sound escape is found from carving out the day
My gift a weight that lifts, my eyes give me away

You tell me all the things you know
I want to hear
You stain the sub terrain
With sarin gas and fear

What kind of friend are you?
What kind of friend are you?
You're so cold
What kind of friend are you?
What kind of friend are you?
So Called Friend

I miss the holy bliss of sun across the bed
How sad that all my plans seem foolish now instead

Oh really, I was just posting songs I was listening to. What are you doing? And by the way, I am offended by lines in about 40-50 songs you have posted. So you better keep deleting.

I said that to make a point. I don't expect you or anyone to delete any lyrics or songs. Someone somewhere can always take a song lyric and find something offensive about it, or think it pertains to them. that's the nature of the beast, the nature of music. You post any songs you like. You wanna play games, we'll play games. You have been doing it for about a month now. You can post any song title or lyric you want, just like I can. God didn't stop giving cleverness out when you passed by the assembly line. You want to match wits, we can match wits.

I'm just posting songs I have been listening to, just like the thread says. I don;'t know what you are doing.

RCMP??? Royal Canadian Mounties?? LMAO. Cool. You going to call them and report song lyrics?? That's precious. Yeah, you better delete all your inculpatory evidence first, good move there. btw, if you read the lyric I think you are referring to, it would be my own head, nits

My friend, my friend, my friend

And I emerged the chilling stranger, my friend
To eradicate the problem, my friend
Unsheathe the blade within the voice, within the voice
Within the voice, within the voice

And what do you call assassins who accuse assassins anyway, my friend?

are you threatening to assassinate me with a sword or something here?
