It seems that Scratch My Back, Gabriel's cover song album, is approaching something like completion.

From the horse's mouth a couple of weeks ago:
"You may be hearing it sooner than never and sooner than I normally mean when I say sooner"

Now Gabriel's "fan officer" Tina mentions: "Having just listened to some of the songs, all I can say is 'Wow!' Although I cannot divulge any information about the album (I wouldn't want to spoil it for you) all I will say is that we are in for a real treat! Expect the unexpected…"

My usual suggestion is Peter's own famous announcement: "We are going to release in September. You see, I never specify the year." Peter's fan-handling gal having heard songs from the album could suggest that the songs are finished which means that only mixing and post-production have to be done. IIRC this took two years for UP.

Any release date is pure speculation. I would say it's actually unlikely that the album will be released in September because of the reputed release date of the Genesis live box, so perhaps in August, perhaps in October?
