Official Statement from Phil: Official Site for Genesis - join now for exclusives!

"There isn't any drama regarding my 'disability' and playing drums.
Somehow during the last Genesis tour I dislocated some vertebrae in my upper neck and that affected my hands. After a successful operation on my neck, my hands still can't function normally.

"Maybe in a year or so it will change, but for now it is impossible for me to play drums or piano. I am not in any 'distressed' state, stuff happens in life."

Phil

Ok so don't believe all you read in the tabloids, after-all it is only the news
I mean the 'official site' has never got anything wrong has it!!

Beside all that, it is good news (for us) if Phil hasn't retired completely from drumming, but after 50+ years as a drummer it's bound to have taken it's toll on him physically & can we really blame him if he does want to hang his sticks up, It's not going to make me respect or like him any less

Anyway here's something that i 100% believe was said and I'm sure once you read it, you'll believe it too...

La Toya: 'Michael Jackson Looked Absolutely Fabulous In His Casket' - Celebrity Gossip, News & Photos, Movie Reviews, Competitions - Entertainmentwise

It's a shame that it took his death to make him look so 'absolutely fabulous'! ha-ha

Oh my. The only site to go to for absolutely true and unexaggerated news is Home | The Onion - America's Finest News Source ... If you search there are news items in which Phil is mentioned.

I feel very sad. There may be people who have no ability of using their hands properly, but Phil shouldn't be one of them.
