I agree...In the Cage, and other old medleys of Genesis make for pretty good cardio. However, the following is about a half hour to 40 minutes of music that really keeps me going during a jog...and it's important that it goes in this order: 1.) Behind The Lines (awesome song to start off your run) 2.) Turn It On Again 3.) Duke's Travels 4.) Duke's End 5.) Abacab 6.) No Reply at All 7.) Invisible Touch It's fantastic. The best part? The climactic reprise of "Guide Vocal" during Duke's Travels. My God. If you don't get chills at that point during your jog, and if you don't find yourself inadvertently going faster...you're not human. Try it out...you won't be disappointed. - Tim W. |

On the subject of ICD, I was surfing the music channels (all three of them) here in sunnny NZ the other day, and the video was on. It made me think of starting a thread about the lowest point in Genesis history! But I manfully resisted the temptation. No need for negativity!

Its impossible for you NOT to be negative. Its in your very nature. Even in posts where you are trying not to be negative, you are negative. My guess is you are one of those people who go around criticizing and correcting everyone at work, and at home you must be simply insufferable. That's why you are the ol' curmudgeon. |

No doubt in my mind either, or a seriously misguided youth, but let us NEVER talk about it again. BTW Jeb, do your daughters know about...us.
BTW, Back to Topic, I will stand by the opinion that the 1984 version was the BEST ITC they did. Seeing it live though....DREAM come true!

Running songs and ICD(the song)
Sorry about my English.
T42, incredibely YOUR "running" selection is the same I have...and I do think my heartbeat will be at least 10% higher when I listen to some beautiful parts of that songs. About ICD(the song, not the guy), I think it is a bad song IF compared to Genesis early works. But it is a great live song and it is not so bad, really, if you compare it to many "modern" bands. I remember an ex-girlfriend callig me at the time of ICD video and teasing me: "well, Paulo, when I saw THAT song on MTV I tought that EVEN Paulo will abandon Genesis this time"... . And I replied - no, I will be the only one to buy this, just to help them going on! ![]() I was wrong - many millions loved that song and brought that record! ![]() |

Oh really? Never a problem with open-mindedness
Haha, sorry Jeb. I'm but a single 16 year old American guy, just swingin' it. If that is indeed what you meant
