New Gabriel interview
... Peter Gabriel shares his passion for technology | Entertainment | Music | Reuters
he says he's not 'in principle' against the idea of a reunion. If I were a betting man, I'd definitely stick a few dollars on it happening.

I'm all over that. I personally guarantee it will happen.

Nothing new there, eh? Peter is not against "doing something" "in principle", but he is only up for it once he has absolutely nothing else to do. And he means "nothing else", not "nothing "better".
And "doing something" does not necessarily mean anything like a reunion. It could also be new vocals for, say, the 2008 wardrobe mix of "I Know What I Still Like". Or cleaning the attic at The Farm.

I'm with Jeb - it WILL happen. And there's a strong rumour going around that it will be a single show of The Lamb (with Supper's Ready and The Musical Box) - at the Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth, New Zealand (a five minute walk from my office, not bad eh?)

While Phil, Mike and Tony make music because they had fun doing it, for Peter it is about doing his own thing, about expressing himself the way he wants to. Peter has been a part of the Genesis thing, but Genesis has never been his thing but his and the other guys' thing. After more than thirty years of doing his own thing outside of Genesis, he must be quite tired of still being styled "the former singer with Genesis". It's like you have won the Nobel prize for physics and you are still introduced as "the lad who was very good at science in school." Is Peter depressed? I do not know. I would like to think he isn't, what with a lovely wife, his children to care for and play with, his career and numerous "extracurricular activities".
