If Genesis do another concert/tour, it won't be with Phil Collins as lead Vocalist. In a recent radio 2 interview, Phil announced his retirement.

Phil wants to concentrate on bringing up his 2 sons, playing golf and of course, the relationship with his Girlfriend.

Maybe Peter will return.

Got a link to that interview? Anyway, he has said that before. There will be no more tours. Just a couple of selections of shows

Say hello to 2004 for me

I believe Phil stated somewhere that the only way he would tour again following the TIOA Tour is if Peter was in front of the mic and Phil was behind the drums. I believe I remember him saying that...

Phil's given up playing the drums. Due to hearing problems.

Maybe you should pay closer attention to the interview before sounding so sure of yourself.

First of all, Phil would NEVER give up the drums. I'm not saying that as an optimistic fanboy, but anyone who has seen Genesis on the last tour (or who has even seen him on the Farewell Tour 2004) could easily tell it's one of the things he loves to do. If there's a Gabriel reunion, Phil WILL be the drummer. If he's not there, then it's not a reunion, nor is it a show worth seeing. And they all know that. But he'd do it anyway, because of his passion for the drums.

He said he's "desperately trying to retire", and that just seems like Phil's humor at play. He never formally announced a retirement, and I think he realizes that if a Gabriel reunion were to occur that would be the last chapter of Phil's musical career. And I believe "desperately trying" is a tool used to say things keep bringing him back, which kinda tells you that he'd do a Genesis / Gabes Tour.

I think that's why he pushes for the reunion to happen, because he knows that's all he has to do in order to end a very successful musical journey with a bang. Plus, after that, he could golf, write, play with his kids, and drum in his own home, and live his own life.

Relax there. Ray won't be the singer of Genesis again

I remember before the 2005 tour (probably around 2003) Phil saying he could no longer play the drums because of hearing loss and I must say that I was very very disappointed. and look what we have had since then...two tours...one Phil solo and one Genesis reunion....never say never is my motto....Phil just turned 57....old....I think not...Phil has got the best years of his life ahead of him...and we will see a 5 man reunion with Gabriel.....mark my words.....but lets get back to the real issue here.....is Ray good looking or what???????

I wasn't sure of myself. Just passing on the information. If people believe Phil will do another Genesis concert, then that's fine. If there is a future tour, Ray might be included.
