I was at Steve's gig in Birkenhead last night (20th Nov 2009) and really enjoyed it. My photos can be seen at:

Former Kajagoogoo bassist Nick Beggs cut quite a dash in his black leather skirt and matching waistcoat. Very few men could get away with that in Birkenhead.

Great pictures, and great video (though the sound is a bit off... but who cares?)

Thanks for sharing this with us. Steve's itinerary and my free time did not match so I will not be seeing him live. I did see him this spring at our fanclub's Steve Hackett Event in Remscheid, where he played an acoustic gig with his brother and patiently answered lots of questions and very graciously signed just about everything people asked him to. A very great guy, no, let me put it this way: a gentleman.

I'm not a terribly good photographer but they're the best ones I've taken of the SH band so far.

I've seen him countless times over the years; the first time being at Liverpool Empire in 1979 on the Spectral Mornings tour. I saw Genesis on the Duke tour about a year later but preferred SH by a long chalk.
