TotW [28/10/11 - 03/11/11]: BIG BLUE BALL - Exit Through You

BIG BLUE BALL - Exit Through You

year: 2008
album: Big Blue Ball [review]
working title: unknown
lyrics: yes
length: 5:52
musicians: Joseph Arthur, Peter Gabriel, Karl Wallinger
played lived: never
audio sample: YouTube
known cover versions: none

Notes: Can you imagine that Peter Gabriel writes a song in just an hour and then records it? No? Admittedly, he had help, but the song is called Exit Through You. It was created in the mid-90s in the Real World studios, but released only in 2008. Exit Through You could have been the first commercial release for Joseph Arthur, for his career kicked off only in 1996.
Gabriel himself discovered Arthur in the 90s and signed him for Realworld. With Exit Through You they have produced a fantastic duet, have they not?
... cried a voice in the crowd.
