Genesis Live Albums on SACD?
I've been well out of Genesis for a while now, though I had several albums of theirs on Vinyl and saw them back in 1981 at Wembley Areana. However a chance visit to Zavvi in Birmingham UK ended up with me parting with £29
(my most expensive CD purchase ever!) for a Japanese SACD/DVD Vinyl replica version of "And Then There Were Three.." Now I'm hooked again and will quite happily purchase every Genesis album available in this format. However, I'm dying to purchase "Seconds Out" in the same format along with "Three Sides Live" and "Live", but I'm reliably informed that these albums haven't been remastered in SACD. ![]() Are there any plans to rectify this dreadful situation? ![]() |

You know how it is with Genesis and plans...
It has been hinted at (by someone in the management, IIRC) that there may perhaps possible be at some time in the future a Live Album box like the current CD/SACD+DVD remaster boxes, but such a putative release depends on how well the current box sets sell. But how much better would they sound then? The Live material would have stereo at best, but not necessarily individual tracks so that there would not be much to work on. 3SL would benefit from it all. So would the WWW Short/longs and they'd be well-advised to piece them together to make one full concert again. LoE would not need any work at all, of course.
