Blu Ray or HD DVD, what does it matter if new material isn't going to be released on either format straight away? Blu Ray have won the war, so get on with it...why do we have to pay for everything twice? I thought I was buying the content, but apparently I am just buying the format, so, when the powers that be release it in Blu Ray we have to purchase the same thing over again. I have lots of videos, which I have also now purchased the same DVD's and next I will have to purchase the same in Blu Ray. One day I will be actually be able to watch concerts as they were intended to be...when I have every format of the one thing, that is. Stop messing with my head, and my wallet people, give me the damn thing in Blu Ray first up.

The following statement is from someone who works for the official site.

After some inquiries to management, here's what I got back in regards to a Blu-Ray "When in Rome 2007" release:

"We have checked this with both record companies and they have no plans to release "When In Rome" on Blu-Ray at this time as they do not believe that the market for Blu-Ray is big enough to justify the costs involved."

I know this isn't the news that people were hoping to hear, but this is a record company decision, and if you want to do something constructive, it may be worth your time to inform the record companies themselves of your wish to have the release on Blu-Ray.

It could be helpful for management's advocacy of more releases in this format, if the companies heard from the fans themselves.

Sorry that this is the news I have to deliver about this, I know some people were looking forward to it.

Now we stop complaining here, and go to Virgin/EMI and Rhino (Atlantic) and Voice out opinion!

Thanks Dan! Straight to the record companies I am going to have a whine about Blu Ray!
Also, is there a release date for Australia as yet?

I have only heard one date for worldwide release as May 26th. I am not sure on that one!

******Warning - sarcastic stab at Wal-Mart Ahead*****

It would not surprise me if Wal-mart did have an exlusive over-compressed single edition flipper hand-manufactured for them utilizing child-labour in Zhengzhou, China for $.0025 cents USD/copy. And then the will sell it for $2 less than the competition. What the Waltons want....the Waltons get.....including the destruction of the American economy and culture. Good-night John-Boy!
