The Genesis Back-Catalogue in new Stereo and 5.1 Surround Mixes

Now it's finally true - EMI / Virgin / Warner will rerelease the Genesis studio albums with new stereo and brand new surround mixes. The actual format is different worldwide, depending on where you live. There will be plenty of bonus material, 3 Box-Sets, the complete B-Sides. Find here info about the format, release dates etc...

The albums will be released seperately and in a special 1970-1974 Boxset. The Boxset also contains a Bonus-SACD / DVD (CD / DVD in North America) with the non Album tracks of that period.

The SACD-Hybrids have 2 layers, one contains the normal CD-Stereo (but also the new mix) and the other one contains the high resolution SACD Surround and Stereo Mixes.
The DVD contains the complete album in Dolby Digital 5.1 and dts Surround (Audio) as well as Video Bonus-material, which is available in Dolby Digital 2.0 vorliegt. The music videos are available in Dolby Digital 5.1 and dts surround - as we know them from The Video Show DVD.

There will be new Stereo and 5.1 Mixes
Basis of thenew mixes were the old multritrack tapes
Nothing was added to the new mixes
The new releases REPLACE the Definitive Edition Remaster
Say It's Alright Joe is only a fake-surroud mix as the old multitrack tapes were never found
3 batches of rereleases are scheduled
Each album will be available separately and as part of a boxset
The non-album tracks and B-Sides areon a special bonus double-disc, wich is ONLY available as part of the box set(s)
The Live-albums have not yet been mixes
A Box with the Live-Albums is possible, depending on the success of the studio album rereleases
