UK76’s TRAVELS: Helsinki June 11th
Yesterday a brandnew Air Berlin Airbus 320 carried me safely to Helsinki. Weather here was (and still is) actually better than it was in Germany on my departure. Nice temperatures and sunny.
After having a walk around in the city center I had some food and some beers and went to bed not too late.
So FINALLY today’s the day that thousands and thousands of Genesis fans all over the world have been waiting for for about 15 years! It still feels a bit surreal that I’m currently here in Helsinki and going to see the band tonight. I think I won’t believe it until I’m actually in the stadium. BTW had a nice aerial view of the stadium during our approach into Helsinki-Vantaa. Yesterday afternoon everything seemed to be set up, they only hadn’t covered the field at that time. I’m not sure whether the band really did a last rehearsal yesterday.
In about 2 hrs I’ll be at the stadium and start queueing for tonight. The setlist will be posted on the main website (genesis-news.com) pretty soon after the gig. The tension is mounting and I’m really starting to get excited…
