I wonder what happened to those 2 surprise songs (1 never played before, 1 never played with this line-up) that were rehearsed in Brussels and previously Phil also mentioned in interviews that stuff that was never played before was to featured in the set. ( My personal favourites would be Many too Many-never played and Entangled, only played on Trick of the Tail Tour, without Daryl and Chester).
Nevertheless, i will be at the Paris, Manchester and London concerts, and like the set list, but have to agree that stuff like Hold on my Heart could be dropped in favour of songs like those 2 above or even Fading Lights

Just from home to Lyngby from Herning after spending last night and most of today with a good friend of ours.
Dear UK76; I hope you don’t mind if I post some thoughts on the show. I would be interested to hear how you compare it to Helsinki? Take care now.
I was impressed by the show, and by most of the performance - nah all of it; we hard core Genesis fans will take whatever they dish out! It was good to see the boys back on stage, but I thought Phil seemed dissatissfied at times, not sure if it was himself or….? He didn’t seem to give it all, if you know what I mean. The setlist was good, and the Behind the Lines intro works really well. The bridges between the medley do need working on, they seemed to falter at this point. We choose to stand very close to the stage - about 7 metres right of centre stage, as this is so easy in Herning, so the big screen effects were somewhat lost, but being so close made it more inimate just like in the oooooold days
Hearing Ripples for the first time in decades brought a lump to my throat. Phil’s voice was generally in good form, but his memory is just as ‘good’ as ever…he also repeated the ‘Blue Girls’ rather than ‘Angels’ error as in Helsinki. In fact they restarted the song as he forgot where to start!! Again, nothing new, but he played the fool, and everyone forgave him. As he said: ‘Too many words…’ There is much i could say about the experience, but I will leave it at that for now, as I am still sailing away…As and when I come down, I may add some more.
The Messe Center organisation was top class, with easy access to and from, and plenty of services and food / drink outlets available, so well done Herning! Oh and toilets….50 year old fans need those too!!

really enjoying the blog folks. i am in Connecticut USA and am anxiously awaiting Boston and Hartford concerts on 11 Sept and 16th, will also go to NYC if i am blown away and if the setlist changes… I hope they add some stuff– i agree about Entangled–that would be wonderful.. how about Your Own Special Way? or at least that section of Suppers Ready they played on the 1st leg of the 1986 tour? Disappointed to read that they canned Abacab…Phil was quoted in Rolling Stone that he doesnt wanna sing it cause he doesnt know what it means? who cares? its great live and has great jamming capability! I loved Driving the Last Spike from the last tour but that will never happen again… Very beautiul melody and time changes.. to the folks writing the diary and taking the pictures you are doing a fantastic job. i ordered the first show.. i cant see ordering the whole set if they dont change the set list.. but i will order more if they do… i guess everyone who goes to one show will want a copy of the one they went to of course… not even a dream even ‘all the way back in 1992:) seems like eons ago..its scary ! time flies… amazing how technology has advanced.
Thanks again and to all who are going to the upcoming shows.. have a wonderful time… Frank

well…..I am sitting here listening to the Encore Herning DK 14.06.07 double CD concert…and I must admit that I am really pleased to hear how they have treated the engineering. It is perfect. Yes, I know I’m a big fan, and would accept anything, but I am also old therefore a bit difficult
to please. This is fantastic. I am back there again. I look forward (to put it mildly) to receiving the Twickenham Encore CD as I was there, too. I liked the contrast of these two concerts, as Herning was an outdoor gig, and we were very close to just right of centre stage (trim those nose hairs, Tony!!) and Twickenham was full of Stadium atmosphere, where we were seated at the back right hand corner (with the ‘tiny people - right at the very back; I have never shared a space with the tiny people before, but we made an awful lot of noise during the Domino Theory, much more than the corporate crowd at the front, who didn’t seem to know what was expected of them between prawn sandwiches) but anyway, back to the CD…nyone who has ordered but not received a show, you will NOT be dissappointed, unless you are like my wife and REALLY REALLY difficult to please…
All joking aside, it is a wonderful audio souvenir of a wonderful - and very rare, which makes it all the more special - evening.
Now I just need tickets and an excuse for North America……
