Did they play turn it on again last night? we came in a little late.

  2. Christian Says:

Yep. The Setlist hasn’t changed since the Brussels Dress Rehearsal. Turn it On Again comes right after the DUKE intro, without a break between the songs. Phil’s first speech comes after TIOA

  3. Ed Says:

Why will there be no CD from this NYC show?????

  4. Frank Says:

It was great to see so many fans from overseas there last night.

My first Genesis show was the infamous 1978 Madison Square Garden concert that Peter Gabriel joined Phil on the vocals for the “I KNow What I Like” encore. I managed to get a ticket about an hour before the show last night. The setlist covered a lot of ground and the show was great. If I had a wish list to make changes, I would have included something from Abacab, perhaps the title song in place of Domino or Man on the Corner (slow song) instead of Hold on My Heart. There was a collective rush to the bathroom/concession stands when HOMH was played. Also The Lamb/Watcher of the Skies medley would have been preferredover Carpet Crawlers for an encore. I am not a big fan of “I Can’t Dance”. After all of these years, I continue to marvel at the keyboard excellence of Mr. Tony Banks. The video screens managed some nice close-ups throughout the evening. Highlights for me always include In the Cage, a full version of I Know What I Like, Ripples, Afterglow, Los Endos and it was nice to hear Dukes Travels and Dukes End. After all of these years it felt like meeting up with an old friend that I had not seen in years and we picked up right where we left off although we are all a little older and a little grayer.

I forget to mention I bumped into Danny Gillen PC’s assistant and has a nice quick little chat with him before the show. Not phil but close

Going to the show tommorow at Giants Stadium, was really looking forward to it..but I must say I’m very disappointed in the setlist..I’m not a hardcore fan… but in my opinion a show without “Misunderstanding” “Abacab” “Thats All” and “Man on the Corner” some of fav Genesis tunes is going to be a letdown for me at least

  9. yepyep Says:

Does anyone knoe what time they went on last night & what time they’re expected on @ Giant’s stadium?

    Thx

    Bryan:

I think most die hard Genesis fans would like to deny that they actually wrote and performed 3 of the 4 songs you referenced. With the exception of Abacab I think the others should have ended up on No Jacket Required.

  11. E Says:

How long was the show last night?

  12. Smurfblood Says:

Yes, I also experienced a restroom/concession rush during Hold On My Heart (in Columbus). It’s easy to nitpick about the setlist, but it could have been much worse.

  13. Kathy Says:

The Giants Show tonight starts at 8. I’m fan from way back and still have my original England by the Pound album. But something tells me I may be in for a let down tonight. What are the chances Peter Gabriel will perform a miracle and make a special showing to sing Lamb Lies Down, just as a surprise? lol

  14. Frank Says:

they came on around 8:30 at msg

  15. tommyhess20 Says:

8:30 PM to 11:OO PM sharp.
