    no surprises, surprise guests etc?

Nothing special - unfortunately - apart from a 4 minutes long speech of Phil before Carpet Crawlers. I have a full video of it and will post it on YouTube asap and maybe write a transcript on the blog. I mainly did this to prevent any misquotes or wild interpretations.

The only minor remarks could be that shortly before showtime they played Simon’s cover of Keep It Dark as part of the pre-show music. Simon was at the show as well - sharply dressed in a black suit! I also met Arturo Velasco (trombone player of the Vine St. Horns).

And if they had to turn the volume down because of the neighbors on the first night, this time Michel (the sound engineer) turn it up more than ever! The bass on Los Endos might have caused a few heart attacks in the audience. ;-)

I also was lucky enough to be at the soundcheck and even met the band! More about this in my next and final report. And of course I will post photos of both soundcheck and concert asap.

did anyone take any good photos of Hollywood Bowl either night?

Drove up from San Diego to see the show. The show was awesome. Phil is ever the showman and does a great job getting the audience to participate. Even people who have never seen Genesis (very few!) had to appreciate the show. To those that saw this band 20 to 30 years ago, a flashback to the hey day of rock and roll. It seemed to me that the light show was better for invisible touch, but the lights were still very well done. Paid handsomely for the seats but would do it all again tomorrow if i could. Hope we see another “reunion” tour someday.
