Selling England By The Pound has been released on Friday in Germany and today in the other European states for the first time as an official picture disc LP to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Virgin Records. At the same time Tangerine Dream's album Rubycon has also been released as a 12" picture disc. Why do we mention this here? Simply because the attractive Selling England By The Pound LP plays Rubycon by Tangerine Dream, and the Tangerine Dream Picture Disc plays Selling England By The Pound.
We do not know for sure whether this concerns the whole batch. The mistake was noticed by a German fan who has bought (and played) both picture discs. There may be a second edition which could make this wrong pressing a rarity. At the moment, the vinyl records are still available and we do not further information about a possible new pressing so far.
