Earlier this year, Mike + The Mechanics have released two albums in Europe: A CD and 2CD version of THE SINGLES, covering the greatest hits of the band plus their B-sides, and a 25th anniversary edition of their album Living Years. A North American release date was no scheduled at the time - but now the band has announced a North American release in combination with their winter tour leg of their HITS tour in North America.
The Living Years 25th Anniversary 2CD edition contains the original 1988 hit-album plus a bonus CD with extas, which are selected live tracks plus a new recording of the title track The Living Years with Andrew Roachford on vocals. The band will play 18 North American shows in February and March 2015, followed by another UK tour. Mike Rutherford mentioned in a recent interview with the Rolling Stone Magazine that the band may focus more on their first two albums for the North American tour.
