Peter Gabriel: Big Blue Ball to be released in Europe soon
The much anticipated Big Blue Ball album is already available in three formats in Noth America. Now, a european rlease date has been fixed. The album will come out 28th July, WOMAD festival visitors will have the chance to buy the album there.
The album itself is based on recording sessions that took place some 15 years ago in the RealWorld studios. Gabriel himself is involved in four songs, other artists include Tim Finn, Papa Wemba, Manu Katche, Karl Wallinger, Sinead O'Connor and others. Genesis: When In Rome release information
The highly anticipated Live DVD When In Rome, featuring the entire concert from Rome 2007 plus tons of extras, will now be released May 26th (Europe) / May 27th (North America). The DVD will come out as a 3-DVD-Set, but a rumoured blue-ray version will not be released in May.
Besides the concert, there will be lots of rehearsal extras and a 1'45h documentary on disc three about the tour, called Come Rain Or Shine. When In Rome 2007 is the third official Live-DVD from Genesis after The Way We Walk Live and Live At Wembley Statdium. The DVD -Set is available for pre-order in Europe, and now also in North America (release: 10th June - click here).

Genesis: Transcript of Fan-Chat with Tony Smith now available
The band's manager, Tony Smith, made himself available last week for a fan-chat on the official website. Tony Smith was in France and via phone in contact with the chat moderatore.
Questions were asked and Tony answered a lot of them. Most questions were about the Turn It On Again Tour, the possibility of further live-shows, future activities, the chances for a 5-piece reunion, but also questions about Phil Collins archive material. The whole chat is now available as a transcript in the official website's forum.

Steve Hackett: New classical album Tribute out now
He is one of the busiest members in the genesis camp. Steve Hackett has regularly released new albums and was involved in different projects.
In 2008, another rock-album will come out in fall, there may also be some live shows later this year, but nothing has been officially announced yet.
Meanwhile, Steve has released a new classical album entitled Tribute, featuring interpretations of various classical pieces.

Genesis: Live Over Europe release information
EMI will release the anticipated live album Live Over Europe on 26th November in Europe (23rd Nov in Germany, 27th Nov in North America). The album contains a full show, with the separate songs taken from various shows, but keeping them in the right order. Some introductions are missing. The album will be released in a 2CD Digipak format ONLY, the standart jewel case edition has been taken off the schedule. The digipak contains a 24 page booklet.18th November 2007

Peter Gabriel releases Whole Thing from Big Blue Ball project!
Fans around the world are still waiting for the Big Blue Ball project to be released on CD. It has been announced and postponed many times, now it seems we have to wait even longer. For the soundtrack of the TV series Long Way Down (feat Ewan McGregor), Peter has agreed to include the track Whole Thing from the Big Blue Ball sessions. The song was first presented in a moon club video last year and will now be on this 2CD compilation, due 3rd December (UK). Other tracks are contributions by various RealWorld musicians, plus the title track by the Stereophonics. There's no information if or when the whole Big Blue Ball session will be released.

The Musical Box: A Trick Of The Tail - Tour next fall (2008)!
It has been rumoured for some time, now it's official. Canadian band The Musical Box will perform the Trick Of The Tail Tour (1976) in 2008, starting with a european Tour. The final line-up will be announced later, Tour-dates and tickets will be available shortly, we will keep you up to date! Meanwhile, the band will start their Black Selling Tour today in Munich, Germany. It's the last time they perform a Selling England or Foxtrot Show in Europe. Genesis: 1983-1998 Boxset to be released November 20 (North America)!
Phase II of the Genesis rereleases are now available throughout Europe on SACD-Hybrid/DVD Doublediscs. From November 20 on, the set will also be available in North America on CD/DVD (NTSC) Doublediscs. The set contains all albums from 1983-1998 (Genesis, Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance, Calling All Stations) completely remastered in stereo and Surround Sound, plus a Bonus CD/DVD with Extra Tracks. Genesis: Starbucks Sampler 14 From Our Past Released!
The Starbucks Music Department HearMusic has finally released the delayed sampler with Genesis music today! The CD is called From Our Past and it is #14 in the series of Starbucks releases. Genesis: Live 2DVD and 2CD News / November release!
The new Boxset 1983-1998 has just been released in Europe and Chapter & Verse is not even a month old - and Genesis fans have to prepare for more to come this fall. You may have noticed that in our blog already - EMI will release a live 2CD called Live Over Europe on November 19 (Europe). The album will feature all songs of the set, taken from different cities and without most of Phils introductions. The Live 2DVD, also currently scheduled for a November 19 release, will be called When In Rome and will feature the complete Rome show plus a whoe bunch of extras. Genesis: 1983-1998 Boxset, Live Album & DVD News / Tour Photos!
Genesis performed in New York City yesterday, they're now halfway through with their North American leg of the Tour. Meanwhile, we have Photogalleries online from Toronto, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Albany, Montreal, Ottawa, Hartford, Philadelphia (3 shows) and Columbus, more to come! Genesis will release a live 2CD and a 2DVD later this year. The 2CD will feature material from various european shows, the 2DVD will contain the complete Rome show, both formats are scheduled for a November release. Genesis kick(ed) off North American leg of the Turn It On Again Tour!
Yesterday, Genesis played their first show in front of a full audience in North America 2007. The BMO Field in Toronto was the location, it was also the firs ever rock-concert in this new soccer stadium. Today, the band will perform at the HSBC-Arena in Buffalo (USA). Genesis: Encore Series for North America now confirmed!
During today's webcast of the Toronto Dress Rehearsal, the North American Encore Series was confirmed! For a while it was unclear whether that will happen, but now 22 out of the 25 North American Shows will be available on silver pressed, official 2CD Sets online from themusic.com! The European Encore Series is already on sale for $30 for each 2CD. London is sold out at the moment but will be back in stock by mid-October.

Genesis: Official site offers Production Rehearsal virtual tour and webstream
The official Genesis site offers a special webcast programme next wednesday, when Genesis start their North American leg of the 2007 with the Production Rehearsals in Toronto's Air Canada Center. members of the official site will get access to a special webcast, featuring Nick Davis and a virtual backstage tour. Tony Banks: Genesis discuss writing new material
In a recent interview with canadian website 570News, Tony Banks talks about the recent european tour, the upcoming North American dates and about Phil becoming the frontman. Towards the end, Banks reveals that the band has discussed the possibility of writing new material for a studio album and it looks like the three of them are quite kneen to have a go, as 570NEWS quotes Banks. The band wants to wait until the North American leg of the tour is over for further discussions. The North American tour will stat 7th September in Toronto's BMO Field, jus two days after the dress rehearsal in the Air Canada Center. 23rd August 2007

Genesis: Chapter & Verse - More Info and pre-order links
A new Genesis biography, based on interviews with the band and put together with the help of past and present band members, will be released September 06. The biography is called Chapter And Verse, contains 360 pages and coloured photos and is printed on high quality paper. There will be a hardcover edition, a paperback edition and a 4CD audiobook. The next SACD/DVD Boxset, spanning the years and albums from 1983-1998, will be released on 1st October in Europe (Germany: 28 September). There's no release date for North America yet. The box contains the albums Genesis, Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance and Calling All Stations, plus the Bonus Disc with non-album tracks, that is sadly incomplete (see also our interview with Genesis). Details about the bonus features are available in our online special. The box can be already be pre-ordered in some countries and stores online.

The Musical Box: New Shows announced (Germany & North America)
The Musical Box have announced further shows in North America this December and an additional show in Germany (Munich) in October. In Europe, the band will perform Black Selling England and Foxtrot Shows, in North America, it will be a mix of Selling England, Black Selling England and Foxtrot Shows. The first dates are confirmed and already on sale.
For those of you who don't know who The Musical Box are: The Musical Box is a respected Cover-Band, who copies old Genesis shows up until 1975 in detail. They have had great success with their recent world tours since 2002.

Interview with Genesis (Mike Rutherford + Tony Banks) now online
Two weeks ago, we finally had the chance to do an interview with Genesis. We met Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford after the soundcheck backstage in Hannover for a 20 minutes interview. Phil Collins was not there (he doesn't do many interviews when on the road) but Mike and Tony had a lot to tell about the tour, solo projects and future plans. Also, the question whether or not either Peter or Steve will appear on stage was discussed...

Ray Wilson: Tour 2007 Update
Not only Genesis and Peter Gabriel are on the road, Ray WIlson is also performing various shows in Europe this summer. Ray will also perform at the upcoming (and sold out) Genesis Fan-Meeting in Braunschweig, Germany (22nd June). Before that, Ray will play three acoustic shows in Poland. In August, he will play several shows at the Madogs in Edinburgh as part of the traditional Edinburgh Festival. His postponed Paris show has now been rescheduled for October. Peter Gabriel - Three Shows - some Changes / Encore Series confirmed
