After four studio records Peter Gabriel finally released a live album in 1983 – Plays Live covers the tour for his fourth album.
In 2011, Peter Gabriel played at the Hammersmith Apollo, London, with the New Blood Orchestra. The concert was rnpublished on DVD and Blu-ray. In 2012 it also came out as a live double album.
This was Peter Gabriel's first soundtrack for a whole film – at the wish of its director, Alan Parker. Gabriel fulfilled his rnwish of using existing compositions, but still created something new, too. The outcome is a gloomy, but absolutely rnworthwhile collection of emotions in music.
After a remaster of his debut album in 2008, Anthony Phillips released another version of the album in 2015. The 2CD/DVD set contains the long lost Only Your Love as well as a brand new 5.1 surround sound mix. Tom Morgenstern has checked it out.
