Five years after he left Genesis Peter Gabriel recorded a key album of his career. Biko was a song that left its mark on Peter Gabriel the musician as well as the person. The third album is also the birthplace of the legendary Phil Collins drum sound.
Great events loom long on the horizon. The release of the 1970-1975 boxset is one of the events fans had to be very patient for. Newly mixed, brushed up, and with an optional 5.1 mix – the Gabriel era returns in full splendour. The promo sampler have now been delivered.
In late 2007 Ray Wilson announced a new album for 2008. At first it was scheduled to come out in summer, but it took until the acoustic tour Wilson did in autumn until the new title Propaganda Man was revealed. The album can be bought directly from Ray, and it will become available in stores in spring. We have listened carefully.
The Cottage played an important role in the early stages of the band. Richard Macphail had told attendants of the fanclub's Early Years Event 2005 lots about it, now Mino Profumo actually went there and took history lessons, as it were, from Richard in the cottage.
After their Top Ten success in 1973 Genesis went on to produce their most ambitious work in 1974 – a production that brought out big rifts in the band.
