In 1990 Phil Collins played two terrific shows at the Waldbühne Berlin (then still: West-Germany). Later the concert was released on VHS video. The show has now also been published in a 2DVD set. Anneke Brüning enjoyed watching it for you….
Ray's second solo album was released some fifteen months after his debut Change. The Next Best Thing is a completely different album, says Christian Gerhardts.
They are well-known, those words from The Musical Box, one of the songs that made Genesis famous. During the first half of the 1970s Genesis became a cult band – not least because of their live shows. Paul Russell's book covers this period.
When we began planning the club meeting for 2004 in October and November we found we would like to do something new, a special event: We would try and bring a (former) member of the group to Welkers. Our first choice was the band's last singer, Ray Wilson.

Irvin Duguid was a member of the Stiltskin live band, then he appeared in Ray Wilson's solo band in late 2003. We did an interview with Irvin in early 2004.
