John Mayhew was our star guest at the Evolution Of A Rock Band event 2006. The former Genesis drummer and direct predecessor of Phil Collins kindly agreed to sit in the hot seat for an interview. It was conducted as an on-stage question time; most questions came directly from the audience.
The fanclub day in 2006 was a jubilee event with lots of highlights: One of Mike Rutherford’s guitars was auctioned off, there were exciting interviews with our star guests John Mayhew and Armando Gallo, a live act by John Morrell and lots of opportunities to talk to other guests and, of course, also the special guests.
During a break from the Invisible Touch tour with Genesis Phil Collins squeezed in some drumming for Eric Clapton. The video of the concert in Montreux, Switzerland, is now available on DVD.
The Disney film is followed by a Disney Broadway musical. Phil Collins has written further songs for Tarzan. In 2006 the musical premiered in New York City. Ulli Klemt was there.
