The years that end with a two are, in Peter Gabriel’s case, special years. Because in them, an astonishing number of his solo albums have a round anniversary. We would like to comemorate the anniversary with a small series of articles.
In October 2021, Peter helped his daughter Anna Gabriel present her book Eye-D. It shows close-ups of the eye parts of many famous stars. Peter is only indirectly involved in the project.
This was Peter Gabriel’s first soundtrack for a whole film – at the wish of its director, Alan Parker. Gabriel fulfilled his rnwish of using existing compositions, but still created something new, too. The outcome is a gloomy, but absolutely rnworthwhile collection of emotions in music.

After a double DVD selection set Amnesty International has now also released a DVD box with the full coverage of the four events from 1986 to 1998. Peter Gabriel performed at each of the shows. We have taken a long hard look a the six DVDs.
