After four studio records Peter Gabriel finally released a live album in 1983 – Plays Live covers the tour for his fourth album.
In 2011, Peter Gabriel played at the Hammersmith Apollo, London, with the New Blood Orchestra. The concert was rnpublished on DVD and Blu-ray. In 2012 it also came out as a live double album.
This was Peter Gabriel’s first soundtrack for a whole film – at the wish of its director, Alan Parker. Gabriel fulfilled his rnwish of using existing compositions, but still created something new, too. The outcome is a gloomy, but absolutely rnworthwhile collection of emotions in music.
In April 2019 Peter Gabriel releases a Vinyl Picture Disc with ten songs he has contributed to films over the years. It’s a special release to celebrate the 2019 Record Store Day. Find all info here.
