Peter Gabriel releases a brand new studio track today. I’m Amazing will be available in digital format only.
The three Peter Gabriel albums So, US and UP will finally be released on vinyl as part of the half speed masters series this July.
After the huge success of So, Peter took some time until his next big release. Nevertheless, Peter was still quite productive during this period.
Not only the album So became his most successful album to date, there are also an awful lot of remixes and edits of the stuff from that period. That’s why part 5 is the most extensive part of the compendium … so far.
His first four solo albums were rereleased on 180g 2LP (Half Speed Mastering) last year. The series now continues with So, US and UP.
The fourth album also took him two years to finish. With the growing confidence within his own style, Peters reputation also increased as well as his approach to work with different people. In addition, Peter developed an interest for world music, which also had an enormeous effect on his output.
It took a while until Peter Gabriel’s third album was released. Peter started to be involved in various projects. In the end this also affected his own output, as you can read here.
Starting this summer in 2016, Peter Gabriel will go on tour again, co-headlining with Sting. Dates for North America are confirmed. Further territories are not confirmed at this point. All info can be found here.
