Rory's works have always eluded me. He died way too young. I've read numerous articles and reviews on him that tout his greatness. Not sure why I haven't sought out his albums. Maybe now is the time

Rory was best, when he was playing live. He really lived the blues and that became evident, when he was on stage.

Fantastic album. I am particularly fond of Thanks For The information where he reels off a string of clichés & makes them sound interesting.

Good choice. After Delta Machine, which I not liked quite that much, I think Spirit is an amazing and powerful album.
