Lindisfarne a saw several times in the early 80s, a great live band . Saw them again at a festival a couple of years back . Still really really good.
Blood On The Rooftops lyrics quote a chorus line from Lindisfarne's Fog On The Tyne: "The fog on the Tyne is all mine all mine", with fog replaced by grime.
I know this but will leave it to others.

I have to say I have never heard of that song You Never Know which prompted me to look it up. Quite a strange song but what a lineup!

Dame Edna Everage as the Cheshire Cat - I wasn't aware Barry Humphries even made any records - I thought it was all stage shows. The whole point of an impersonation is you have to see it, I would have thought.
(After a Google search)...Well I was right... he did release albums as Dame Edna on Charisma. By the way, as an Australian, I am not a fan of his at all.

I have this set . The previous question reminded me of it. A celebration of Charisma Records with a great deal of ( obviously not exclusively) distinctly British acts. A lot of quirky stuff . There is one song each from SH, PG, TB and MR. The Genesis contribution here is Happy The Man. There were a lot of spoken word and comedy records in the seventies pre video age including John Arlot talking about cricket!! It was the one and only way to hear and keep anything however odd a recording may be. I heard Monty Python on record before seeing it on the tele. By the way the horse in the background is Tony Stratton Smith's race horse Stats Legacy.
