That's a little harsh. Sure, the discography is imperfect, and there's nothing especially new in the feature. But what should we expect? It's a lot better than it could have been and is still notable to get such a substantial piece.

What did you expect? If you're a major fan of course you're going to know all the stories already.
Looking forward to reading this issue of RC. They do a good job most of the time.

I thought the RC issue was interesting and well written. There are two pictures for the Pensylvanian Flickhouse shop burned vinyl. I know one was done by Anon but they must have created another one too.

One is on P76. Label has Emidisc on it.
One is P77. It has Tony Pike Music Ltd.

I'm also waiting for it ... looks like a nice issue. I do not expect tons of new revelations, though.

The fact that Record Collector has now dug it up and considered it genuine does not cast a good light on this magazine...

On the other hand, it makes you wonder how they did their research. Jonathan Dann - did they get in touch with you about the Anon stuff before they published the article?

It's pretty funny. The fingerprint is hilarious, and yes, not a great look for a magazine called 'record collector'.
I also have this issue of RC, but my knowledge of this era (regarding releases) didn’t make me think this could be fake.

I'm pretty sure if I hadn't posted this on April 1, every user would have been salivating profusely. But that would have been extremely dishonest, so I already knew that it would only work on those who didn't pay attention to the date.
I had found a few photos of these acetate singles with the "Tony Pike" label a few weeks earlier while doing internet research on the studio, all quite small and only with poor resolution (and of course with completely different music on them). But I therefore had reason to believe that the Pennsylvania Flickhouse acetate, long known to exist, also had such a label. I had then emailed the operator of one of these websites and asked him, on some pretext, to send me a high-resolution version of his scan after all. So the only thing that is not genuine is the inscription.
I can't remember the original, but it had enough letters to puzzle together "Pennsylvania Flickhouse" and "Anon". The fingerprint was also genuine.
