With all this talk of alternate mixes-I have to say this about Road To Joy:
After hearing the dark side mix of Road to Joy, I really can't decide which version I like better; bright or dark! They both sound great, but create very different moods-I suppose it'll depend on which version I am in the mood for at any given time.
The bright side mix is much more full and melodic. Almost more generic in a way-designed to have a certain mass appeal.
The dark side mix is IMO much more reminiscient of PG's more experimental side, and even some of his earlier material: tighter drums, a more rough-edged and percussive feel, and some more unique mixing techniques and effects for some of the instruments. This version sounds more like PG's style to me.
I am really curious how Peter will proceed, i.e. which mix will end up on the album - or will there be a different album mix?
The post band version is quite funny, as there are still no lyrics (and no orchestra & no gospel)

Dont le bright-side mix se rapproche (la guitare en moins)
Doesn't he always go for the bright mixes for the concerts ?
That’s the live version I would say
I think you can’t really compare this. Perhaps it would help if you could explain a bit why you think he is doing the bright mixes live?
