I picked other - Tarkus is great, but I think Karn Evil 9 is ELP's masterwork. Yes CTTE is hard to beat, too.
Prog rock epics - NOT including Suppers Ready

My favourite would be
IQ's - Subterranea
Camel's - Snowgoose
Camel's - Dust and Dreams
Camel's - Harbour of Tears plus Rajaz
Pendragon's - The World, Masquerade Overture, Not of this World and The Window of Life.
-
Excluding Supper's Ready, for Genesis it would be One for the Vine as their epic followed by Ripples.
-
would have to throw in 2112 as a one vinyl side epic

I agree with the comment above about Echoes from Floyd. I don't really know the other songs.

Close to the Edge: I really can’t stand the jumpy, disjointed jazz rock stuff that begins about a minute into the song. Definitely not my cup of tea. Same reason I’m not a big fan of the end of Dance on a Volcano and the middle section of Robbery, Assault and Battery.
