Great news. Hoping for more Mechanics shows!
Didn't he perform at another charity thing with Mike & The Mechanics recently?

indeed they did. Sadly, I couldn't find enough info about this. Roachford posted something on facebook when they met (15 Sep, London).
Nice to see John Illsley inovlved in this too.
I think Mike & Carrack will play like a duo as the benefit concert on 3rd March 2020.
The Procol band members who are scheduled to attend are from the band’s last album released in 2017. I suppose they’d be upstaged if any of the surviving classic members (Robin Trower, Matthew Fisher or Chris Copping) showed up – though I'm also mindful that those individuals are all in their late 70s so perhaps they have their reasons for not being there.
That's nice
Mike does it a lot. I mean, charity gigs. But just as with previous appearances, I won't hold my breath. Musically, it was never thrilling ...
Of course I appreciate the charity factor!

Thank you for posting this. Interesting ...
I wonder why Paul Carrack doesn't show up as a special guest during the Mechanics shows Avery now and then ...
