I've had an inadvertent run-in with a small hogweed plant about fifteen years ago. In summer I still tend to get blisters on my legs where they got into contact with that evil plant. Do watch out. And stop children from using it as blowtubes or telescopes.

For a Long time, I didn`t know, that the Giant Hogweed was an existing plant. Until yesterday, I didn`t know that Bärenklau was the Giant Hogweed.
