Honestly, I never use the dashboard, I don't find it useful in any forum. I prefer seeing the normal forum view, which is why I always type "genesis-news.com/forum" in the browser line.

Oh well then out of the replies so far I'm going to be the outlier and say that I do like and use the dashboard, it tends to be my default 'entry' point to the board.
Of the options you suggested I'd just go for a 'latest posts' list, which would be the most useful way to see what's new, and lose 'unread threads' which I don't find especially useful.

The unread threads is how I navigate around the site.
I would like to be able to quickly see 1) replies to my posts; 2) unread posts (if that's an option). But the format is fine now.
