What movie have you watched?

  • Myself and my eldest son went. We both really enjoyed it. I love Sandra Bullock so in my eyes it was always going to be good. Not too taxing on the brains, just a good fun movie

“Without music, life would be a mistake”

  • Traingle

A group of friends suffer a yachting accident and take refuge on a cruise drifting on the open sea, but quickly realize they were better off on the upturned yacht... Bit of a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits type of movie. Watched this recently and very good.

  • James Bond - You Only Live Twice, Thunderball & Goldfinger .

Been going over some of James Bond's catologue.. Starting with Sean Connery..... Though You Only Live Twice is not one of my favourite from the bond movies.

Thunderball is probably one of my favourite movies from Sean Connery. The Avro Vulcan is one of my favourite aircraft ever which was in this film. 8)

  • I always wait for Christmas to unleash my inner child and have a full Bond-Marathon. From Sean to Daniel...…..I've been expecting you, Mr. Bond.....;)8)

  • Dark Crimes with Jim Carrey... Very unusual film set in Poland where Jim plays a detective. Quite a chilling ending.

A hard-boiled detective becomes suspicious of an author when the incidents described in his hit novel resemble the inner-workings of an unsolved murder.

It is quite a dark and bleak film. Unusual for Jim to play such a character like this, leaves me baffled. :/  ?(

  • State of Play with Russel Crowe......Watched this last night Crime/Thriller/Mystery

Congressman Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) is a rising star in Washington; handsome, unflappable and seemingly honorable, he's seen as his party's next presidential nominee. Until, however, his research assistant/mistress is found murdered and damaging secrets come pouring out. Journalist Cal McAffrey (Russell Crowe), Collins' old friend, must investigate the murder, and walks headlong into a massive cover-up involving some of the nation's most promising political and corporate figures.

    Quite a good movie... :)

  • Well I've pretty much concluded all the Bond movies and all very very exciting and funny. So far the only movie I don't care for is You Only Live Twice, where Sean dresses up as a Japanese imposter... Not a lot of scenery scenes involved in this movie and found the plot weird. I did enjoy the micro-lite helicopter chase though. :)

I liked Timothy Dalton playing Bond but found his plot lines and gags illustrated in these films strained, almost to a point of saying, oh well if I must. he appeared the most angriest and serious of the Bond characters.

It's nice to view these old movies again specially Sean, Moore and George Lazenby, being the most dated of these. Also George Lazenby being the only non British actor to play the part.

I'm now down to 5 Bond movies left and the most recent. ;)

It's also interesting to note, that a few actors that have played villians have reappeared again and as hero's in other Bond movies as well. Even Jaws turned to save the day as he had a love interest and became the hero in Moonraker. ^^

I would not say that there is a bad actor that has played Bond. Each one has played the part well IMO.... To say who is better then my top 3 is Craig, Sean and Moore. Though Craig's character of Bond lacked those gadgets we all love in a Bond spy movies!! ^^:D;(

  • Goodbye, Farewell and Amen....... This is the last episode of Mash, which was made into a movie.

I have their Tv Series and love this show!..............:) 8)

Going to watch this later today....:)

  • Sweeney the movie, 1977

Hard-bitten Flying Squad officer Jack Regan gets embroiled in a deadly political plot when an old friend asks him to investigate the death of his girlfriend. Framed on a drunk-drive charge and suspended from the force, with his partner and best mate George Carter unable to help, Jack must rely on his wits to evade deadly government hitmen and expose the real villain of the piece.

One of my favourite shows :)...

Has the lovely Diane Keen in this movie. <3

  • I saw both the latest "Mission Impossible" and "Christopher Robin" - I recommend both. ^^

Very different films, obviously, but Tom Cruise couldn't possibly hope to match the non-stop explosive action of Ewan McGregor playing Winnie the Pooh's playmate... ;):D

Stepping out the back way, hoping nobody sees...

  • Saw this in the cinema when it came out, they were given prototype mk 2 Ford Granada's during filming as it wasn't out during shooting, but was when the film was released. Seem to remember seeing (a lot of) Lynda Bellingham in it too!

The Sweeney is one of my favourite British Tv shows. I only have series 1 right now, hoping for 2-4!.... I loved the episode with Morcambe & Wise called Heart and Minds in series 4.......:)

  • I now find I just can't watch any of them apart from the Craig ones. I liked how they effectively re-booted the franchise with him and stripped away most of the lame jokes and gadgetry and gave it a grittier, gloomier feel. That said, Quantum isn't very good, despite the presence of the luscious Gemma Arterton. Also, on a good day I can stomach the Dalton ones, Licence To Kill in particular, and maybe one or two Connery ones. The Moores are a no-go area for me!

Quantum, although a bit weak at places works for me as closure to Casino Royale. I have more issues with Spectre to be honest, after having worked hard as you said, to strip always most of the nonsense, I think they fell a bit too much in the Roger Moore era atmosphere. Not a fan of Dalton but License to Kill is imo the best Bond song ever.

  • For me Daniel Craig is the essential Bond. I love all the Bond-movies with him, although I had to watch them several times to really get the plots . In that respect, these movies are quite challenging, because the action develops really fast. Great to have Ralph Fiennes in the current line-up.

First we learned to walk on water.

    Then we tried something harder.
