We can all sleep easy at night knowing that somewhere at any given time, the Foo Fighters are out there fighting Foo.

Too many people don't know what they want, wouldn't do what it takes to get it, and wouldn't appreciate it if they had it.

  • Happy The Man

    Twilight Alehouse

    Inside and Out

    Evidence of Autumn

    You Might Recall

    On the Shoreline

I'm pleased to see a lot of the same choices popping up.

  • There's some tracks missing. What about Pacidy, Let Us Now Make Love, Shepherd, Sea Bee, Hair On The Arms And Legs,....... there's a lot on Archive I Disc 4.
And my top favourite remains The Light, a live-only track as can be heard on some bootlegs. Another obscure early live-only tracks would be The One-Armed Drummer. And among the Ray Wilson non-album tracks you missed Nowhere Else To Turn.

I knew there were some things missing!

"Let Us Now Make Love" would be at least a contender for the sixth spot on my list.

    Do The Neurotic

    Run Out Of Time

    Submarine

They had some great non album tracks. I can't embrace Inside & Out as much as others. I find the keyboard solo too noodly and a bit abrasive.

  • Inside & Out

    You might recall

    Itˋ s yourself

    Happy The Man

First we learned to walk on water.

    Then we tried something harder.

    - Red Seven -

  • I chose “Evidence Of Autumn”, ”Open Door”, “Hearts On Fire”, “Run Out Of Time” and – of course – “Anything Now”. All are nice songs that could have been on the albums.

  • There's some tracks missing. What about Pacidy, Let Us Now Make Love, Shepherd, Sea Bee, Hair On The Arms And Legs,....... there's a lot on Archive I Disc 4.

well, I tried to focus on tracks that were part of EPs and Single releases, that's why stuff like Nowhere else to turn or the Archive Disc 4 tracks were left out. They were never part of any single or EP release.

An obvious contradiction might be the Jackson Tape stuff .... but that was part of the green boxset, so I included them.

  • I quite like Happy the man :)

then Run out of time, On the shoreline, Do the neurotic, You might recall, evidence of autumn

they did actually release quite a lot good b-sides etc.!

  • I always struggle a bit with the non album tracks. All of them from CAS are quite strong, imo. Banjo Man I always liked, it was just different and had a completely different mood.

I'd Rather Be You is a true b-side, not strong enough foe the album, but still worth listening, just like Hearts On Fire. Then you have Feeding The Fire and On The Shoreline, both are among my favorite Genesis tunes in general.

    cheers

  • You Might Recall is of course quite popular and most liked here for that reason obviously, but I always thought Do The Neurotic is also very strong? So far only #5 in our poll ...

    cheers

    haven't picked that (DTN)

On the shoreline is my favorite, then You might recall

I always liked Paperlate and Feeding the fire

    then Anything now.

Also like the 2007 mix of Pigeons, so I included that as well

some are wise ... and some otherwise

  • Winter's tale

    Twilight alehouse

    Pigeons

    Paperlate

    Feeding the fire

    On the shoreline

Especially On the shoreline and Feeding the fire should have been album tracks!

    ... make tomorrow today!
