Just 56 years, but quite a troubled life from what you tell based on public info.

Of course there was a connection to Peter.

    R.I.P.

Additionally, if Peter is letting people hear it in its entirety in July 2023, albeit for a one-off and to promote his WOMAD Festival, I really do think September 2023 is on the table for the album release. Why then hold off for another 7-8 months at the earliest (February/March 2024)…

because things take time. You won't get time in a vinyl pressing plant quickly. September is very unlikely because that's less than 6 weeks now. And then Peter is on tour - no time to do proper promotion.

So, the WOMAD festival will have a listing party of the new i/o album (in aurround sound as it looks like), which will last one hour and the album will be presented in its entirety. That leaves somes questions ...

For example: Are there only 10 tracks on the album?

Notes: Hang in there! That is the message of this song in a nutshell. This slogan was put into practice in a humorous way in the music video for our current TotW. Phil Collins and his band play on the "S.S. Udio" until the ship sinks - which, however, is caused by the band playing too loud. The video was relatively expensive to produce at the time because it was shot in black and white, but Phil Collins and the band are highlighted in colour.
Although it is the first track on ...But Seriously, it only appeared as the last single on the album in 1990. The single or maxi CD of Hang In Long Enough was available in various versions and with various remixes by Shep Pettibone, who is best known for his work with Madonna, Janet Jackson and the Pet Shop Boys. To reflect the character of the remixes, the single or maxi CD bore the song title in graffiti style with the colloquial spelling "enuff" (instead of "enough").
On ...But Seriously, Leland Sklar plays bass for the most part (as on the tour for the album); the only exceptions: Something Happened On The Way To Heaven and Hang In Long Enough. Here Nathan East was used as bass player. He had reportedly asked to be involved on a couple of tracks. Since the tour band plays in the video, Leland plays there, of course.

Yeah, that number pretty much corresponds to the number of songs we now know of to be in consideration for the i/o project:

    1. Panopticom
    2. The Court
    3. Playing for Time
    4. i/o
    5. Four Kinds of Horses
    6. Road to Joy
    7. So Much
    8. Olive Tree
    9. This Is Home
    10. Love Can Heal
    11. And Still
    12. What Lies Ahead
    13. Path of Fortune
    14. Live and Let Live
    15. Put the Bucket Down
    16. Show Yourself

How many of these will be on the actual album is anyone's guess, though. But as long as he puts those songs out there during future full moons, I don't mind whether they're on the album or not.

I doubt Path of Fortune exists. I have never found any evidence this is a song on its own. Maybe it's the working title of Road to Joy?

Am I the only person that thinks that the sequence of the songs released might be the i/o tracklist order, e.g. track 1 will be Panopticom, track 2 will be The Court…?

Interesting thought, But So Much will most certainly be on the album, so that logic doesn't work 100%

Back home from a wonderful Festival. I stronly recommend to see this if you haven't!

CYAN was a big surprise for me. Especially the improvised Ripples, when the guitar had some technical problems, was outstanding.

Then Nick Mason and the final presentation of The Lemb were highlights. Sunday was Prog Metal day,

Notes: The 1997 comeback may have been unfortunate in many ways, but Ruthrford and Banks managed here and there to mix the old magic with new brilliance. The result was more prog-heavy tracks and one of them was the album's finale, One Man's Fool.
