Exactly. This re-issue does not happen because Mike of his management wanted it. It happens because the label Music On CD wants to put it on CD again. That’s a big difference.
it doesn’t exclude the possibility for a future special edition, but don’t expect that’s definitely going to happen.
so this label makes this album available on CD again. Nothing more, nothing less

Very much agree with this, BUT then again, any company promoting CD and avoiding streaming gets my support. Hadn't heard of them before. Will keep an eye on them now though.
they have made Steve hackett's Live Rails on 2CD available again as well.
-
maybe even may make an appearance on Spotify then!
I wouldn't count on it. The company's philosophy is to make albums available on CD again, not on streaming platforms.

Mike Rutherford's first soloalbum will be available on CD again this March.
No extras!

Hello! This is my first post here.
Coming over to Amsterdam for the concert. I'm really excited as this will be my first (and obviously last) chance to see Genesis live. It's my second attempt, previous one was in Dublin last fall. So keeping my fingers crossed ...
Just wanted to confirm if the EU Digital Covid Certificate is still also valid for this purpose, at least it should be according to this: https://www.government.nl/topi…ds-and-attending-an-event.
Or has there been some change in rules, so that doing test is now mandatory for everyone?
for the Netherlands, the situation right now is you will need a test to attend the show anyway. The last “problem” with the shows there is that they have standing tickets as well and that is not covered by the new rules. People expect this can be solved but a final word on this is missing until today.

WOW - what a great piece of work!
Are you planning to do a Collins compendium as well?
yes. The initial plan was to have the Collins compendium first, but things evolved differently. It will take a lot of this year to put all parts of the Phillips compendium online. So don’t expect the next one too soon.
-
Regulations are now certain for the Netherlands, no restrictions for the venues, but obviously you need a negative test to enter.
-
London, Amsterdam and Paris will happen.
Germany will be a close call - very simple.
There are tickets left for Berlin, the Cologne shows are full, so is Hanover
-
I wouldn't takte that too serioiusly.
It's probably due to his slow working habit and the lack of a new album with new music for 20 years. It always maked me wonder why fans think musicians owe them something. It's up to them to record music or not.
Fun Fact: Genesis haven't recorded anything since 1997, so ...
-
As expected - 5 shows announced
-
less than a month to go ...
have you updated your plans in our poll on page 1 of this thread?
I hope to see three shows (Berlin 1, Hanover 2, and Cologne 3)
Not going to London.

Two videos have surfaced from the 1992 LOS ANGELES gig:

I have followed Moby since the 90ies. He was part of the soundtrack of my time as a student. I partly lost interest. After Wait For Me, his albums were quite boring.
Nevertheless, I'm still quite stunned what he did on Reprise. Although he took away a lot of that feeling from the past, his new versions are really touching, especially The Lonely Night

Steve Hackett and his band will play a couple of Italian dates after the Night Of The Prog Festival, so late July / early August.
Announcement will follow shortly.

The local promoters are putting up some pressure on the local authorities to allow full capacity shows in March to ensure the Genesis shows can take place.
See this article (in German)

Never mind the re-mastered Vols I and II which still showcase Ants' immense talents, the previously unreleased Masquerade material is simply fantastic.
The song 'Moon's Lament For The Sun' is worth the entry price alone!
I can't recommend this box set highly enough.
The track was also recorded by The Ant Band for the Anthony Phillips 70th Birthday CD "A Light On The Hill"

In my opinion, DARKTOWN is the best album Steve has ever done.
Although I like the first three ones, they all lack something, while Darktown sounds complete.
Please Don't Touch comes close, so do Guitar Noir and Shrouded Horizon

I was in touch with the German promoter over the weekend.
Truth is we have to wait. Regulations can change week by week and in Germany, the omicron peak might happen in 1-2 weeks. Despite that and in the light of neighbouring countries, anything could happen until March. So let's see what the situation will be like in twi weeks or so.

Berlin is back on sale, was just a technical issue

remember you pick up to 5 albums!
