besides Traspass, I also listened to We Can't Dance again a bit more recently. My favorite tracks have not changed, but the track "Living Forever" has gained a lot. The playing sounds so joyful and they just nail it with this one.

Dusk is also an all time Genesis favorite of mine.
have been listening to DUSK a lot recenty. Indeed it's a nice track - probably underrated

welcome to the forum!
about the setlist: I think a couple of those suggestions could be close to the truth. We will find out!

Artists' views of their own work are often coloured by circumstances that have nothing to do with the music.
I would wonder if PG's dismissiveness stems from unpleasant feelings or memories associated with the recording of that album, with David Lord being the producer.
indeed
But in this particular context, Horst was more referring to the artistic dead end argument. I think that was it what he felt Peter thought as well: after this album he would need to change direction.

Genesis have announced extra shows in Philadelphia and Boston, so in total there are 5 extra shows (Chicago, Montreal and New York City were announced earlier...
-
Besides the studio album, Genesis have also release a couple of live albums, so it's only logical to have a favorite live albums poll as well.
I have selected all live albums that were officially released. That includes The Way We Walk as two separate albums as well as the Rainbow 1973 live album as part of the LIVE Boxset. If you think I should add The Lamb Live as part of the Archive series, please let me know. Votes can be changed any time.
Of course I didn't include all the Encore CDs.

For the studio album please check out this poll

Though, in fairness, it was you who brought it up........
indeed, so I try to get back to topic
discussion about the different versions (original, remaster, 5.1...) is an interesting discussion, but a separate one

Is my memory correct in that for the Turn It On Again Tour in 2007 they not only added shows to cities in the initial announcement, they also added additional cities?
I remember buying tickets for Hartford and ended up selling those and doing the Toronto and Ottawa shows instead. Also saw them in Dusseldorf and Berlin, so live in the U.S. and didn't get to a show in the U.S. on that tour. I came close to going to Albany, which I believe was one of the later additions, but couldn't pull it off and had seen four shows on the tour already.
that's correct - 13 shows were announced initially for NA in 2007
Toronto (BMO Field) was among the first 13 if I remember correctly, but Ottawa was announced 2 or 3 weeks later

Extra shows announced for Chicago, Montreal and NYC
-
Thanks guys!
nevertheless, this poll is of course about the music on those albums, not the different audio formats.
-
I've got my tickets for the Montreal show!! Yeaaayyyyy!!! I'm going with my friend.
Bell Center, Section 123, row R, seats 1 and 2, November 22!!!
did you have a chance to see categories and ticket prices?
-
Hi
I’d like to hear some stories / experiences about the presale and ticket prices in North America.
I heard a lot of fans had trouble to even register as a “verified fan”...? -
It's also about formats.
For a normal impressin on how 5.1 works, a DVD player and the dts soundtrack on that would do (together with the 5.1 speaker system)
The Genesis albums were released on SACD as well (Super Audio CD), and those discs require a special player (or one which can also play them).
SACD often also have a separate standard CD layer. They are then called SACD Hybrid
All Genesis studio albums were rereleased on SACD-Hybrid/DVD in Europe and CD/DVD elsewhere.
Blu-ray players also play DVDs, so thatÄs not a problem.

That was hilarious. When he did the Olivier as RIchard III thing I laughed out loud. 'Contrary to popular demand Genesis have not split up'....
same here. Wonderful stuff!
Years later he was on MTV Most Wanted. He always had this humour!
