Thanks genesis1964 and Ned123
Very nice album indeed!....
You should listen to Kaprekar's Constant album Depth of Field
Eh....already got this. Looked at an earlier spreadsheet doh
Fancy adding it?
Excellent
Anytime
Very true. Nice prog melodies as well. I also have Fate Outsmarts Desire and an official bootleg they made recorded in Boerderij
Me also - in lossless format too
If that is Depth of Field - yes I have it
Yes. Vocals are wonderful from Dorie Jackson.
You heard the latest Kaprekar's Constant album?
Possibly my friend. All his albums are superb listens including the Scythe and Clouds Can releases (released out with the T name).
Last one. From John Holden debut album featuring Joe Payne ex Enid
This guy is simply awesome. Thomas Thielen aka 'T' is an amazing musician. Shades of Steve Hogarth vocally too. All his albums are superb.
Hugely disappointed in this album. Without Woolfson something sadly is missing - mainly the quality of melody in the classic years.
You are aware they have another album called Ashes for the Monarch?
I agree with you
Got this yesterday
I meant Frank's nephew as noted Ziggy going to prison.
Oh man, good for you! It's remarkable isn't it.
I'm a huge devotee of season 2 but apparently I'm a bit out of step with most fans on that. But I don't care, I've done two complete 1 to 5 run-throughs and it's still the one that most gets me. The underrated Amy Ryan's performance as an emotional Beadie trying to get Frank to do the right thing - "You're better than the people you've fallen in with..." - heart rending.
Big shock in season 3 eh? Sadly I knew it beforehand as I read an interview that mentioned it, before I'd managed to get that far in the show. I was furious and actually tried to forget I'd read it!
Its gripping and the acting first class. Highlights the corruption at the top of police and local government and any empathy goes to those living without hope and emeshed into the spiral of drug taking and selling as the only way of life known. What happened to Frank's son at the end of season 2? Hope some loose ends are covered in next 2 seasons.
Finally taking time to watch The Wire. Just finished season 3. Superb TV
I'm also cautious about Phil's comment about staying away from songs that spotlight or bring the drumming to the forefront. I think this basically means no songs with double drumming (i.e. Los Endos, Firth Of Fifth?, Second Home By The Sea, etc). Maybe they will come up with a workaround for some of these and switch to single drums? With Phil's voice being in the condition it is, this could open up the possibility of some rare stuff making the list like Blood On The Rooftops or Undertow. Also, I think it's been mentioned elsewhere, but an acoustic section of the show would be nice with things like Lover's Leap from Supper's Ready.
Or simply use a second drummer and free Phil to simply sing.
